華德福教育包括輪迴轉世之說、種族階級意識、延後接受教育、剝奪小孩學習機會、避免批判性思考，鼓勵另類療法(順勢療法)，不鼓勵打疫苗，以觀察取代科學教育，以聖經人物故事取代歷史。所以如果你生為有色人種就是報應。而且老師放任小孩，小孩如果被霸凌的話，老師會說那是因為輪迴報應
華德福相信某些疾病是在幫助孩子贖清上輩子的原罪。當孩子發高燒或者病重時，某些家長因為急於成為合格的華德福家長而忽略必要的醫療救護，置孩子於危險之中。
華德福推順勢醫學，也就歐洲的江湖郎中，賣「糖球」治百病，背後利益龐大，甚至還有銀行（Triodos)為其相關企業，專門放款給製造這些自然療法仙丹的公司(Weleda)。
華德福在國外備受爭議，在台灣還有媒體把它說得很正面。進口的邪說還是邪説，進的邪教還是邪教，進口的華德福也還是華德福。
創造一些讓人聽不懂的神秘術語是邪教基本套路之一，學一堆外界不懂的術語與新名詞，讓小孩無法融入社會。
説的話就像抽象派藝術品。一個抽象派畫家永遠不會直白油畫的含意，因為他要留一個空間給觀賞者去思考和沈溺，而且永遠不給他們答案。說話最重要的技巧是︰要讓人無法理解。用詞要含糊不清，句式要複雜晦澀，總之愈故弄玄虛愈好。
