This is an 18th century three-wheeled bicycle, first used on England's roads. Early designs appeared in the late 1700s and were later improved across Europe. It had central pedals linked by a chain to a rear wheel, moving the cycle forward. Its three-wheel design made it more stable and easier to ride than early two-wheelers. At least in the beginning, riders didn't have to worry much about falling.
