  根據美國疾管局 猴痘是可能經由哺乳類動物傳播， 但是並不知道 爬蟲類 兩棲(生)類 鳥類 是否會被猴痘病毒感染， 但是從這些生物不受類似猴痘的病毒(orthopoxviruses) 感染 推測牠們可能不會被猴痘病毒感染，由此看這是沒有科學證據的聳動假信息
