[A 28-year-old young woman was killed by a drunk driver while crossing a crosswalk.]

On the evening of November 6, 2020, a 28-year-old promising young woman was hit by a drunk driver while crossing the street on a green pedestrian light. She was killed on the spot.

She was my closest friend and beloved neighbor, nearing five years of residence in Korea as a foreigner. She was a passionate student who worked harder for her dreams than anyone else.

Despite years of living a difficult life in a foreign land, her affections for Korea ran deeper than anyone I knew.

Perhaps Korea was the country where my friend would have wanted to stay, rather than returning to her home country.

This beloved friend was hit by a drunk driver and was forcibly deprived of all of her future opportunities and dreams, dreams and hopes that any young person would have nurtured, would have dreamed of; she was sent to a place of no return.

My friend’s parents, who were allowed only a brief stay in Korea due to COVID-19, were told by the authorities that the driver would actually receive a softer punishment because the accident happened while the perpetrator was drunk.

A drunk driving accident is not just something that can happen to my friend. It can happen to any of our family and friends, regardless of nationality, age, or gender. Drinking and driving is premeditated murder and requires more, not less, severe punishment than other crimes.

There is only one reason for this petition.

My friend, who has gone to heaven, cannot return.

My only hope is of a future where no more precious lives, not even one, have to be taken in terrible drunk driving accidents such as this.

That this tragic event will never repeat for any of our families, our friends, and our loved ones, we urge stronger penalties for drunk driving-related crimes.

• Dr. Rainer Fülmich, attorney at law in Germany, for an overview. Thank you. Good afternoon. My name is Rainer Fülmich and it is my pleasure to serve as one member of a group of distinguished international attorneys and lawyers who have been collaborating on this very important case for many months now. This case involving the most heinous crimes against humanity committed under the guise of a corona pandemic on a global scale looks complicated only at first glance. But when you put together all those pieces, all those little pieces of the puzzle, as we will do this for you with the help of many renowned experts and other witnesses during this proceeding, you will see four sets of facts. One, there is no corona pandemic but only a PCR plantemic fueled by an elaborate psychological operation designed to create a constant state of panic among the world's population. This agenda has been long planned. It's ultimately unsuccessful. Precursor was the swine flu some 12 years ago and it was cooked up by a group of super rich psychopathic and sociopathic people who hate and fear people at the same time, have no empathy, and are driven by the desire to gain full control over all of us, the people of the world. They are using our governments and the mainstream media, both of which they literally own, to convey their panic propaganda 24-7. Two, the virus itself can be treated safely and effectively with vitamin C, D, zinc, etc. and also with off-label use of ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, etc. But all these not alternative methods of treatment but real methods of treatment were banned by those who are using the guise of this plantemic to push their ultimate goal, which is to get everyone to receive the, as we will show in this proceeding, not only ineffective but highly dangerous, yes lethal, experimental injections. Three, the same people who made the swine flu, which ultimately turned out to be a mild flu, into a pandemic 12 years ago by first changing the definition of what a pandemic is and then creating panic created this corona pandemic. The swine flu was their first real attempt at creating a pandemic and just as one of its purposes then was to divert our attention from the blatantly fraudulent activities of their financial industry, more aptly to be called a financial mafia, which had become visible through the Lehman crisis, this is also one of their major purposes of this corona pandemic now. Had we taken a closer look then during the Lehman crisis, instead of blindly believing our government's promises that the perpetrators of those financial crimes will be held liable, we would have seen then that they had been looting and plundering our public coffers for decades and we would have seen that our governments are not our governments anymore, rather they have been taken over by the other side through their main platform, the World Economic Forum, which had started to create their own global leaders through their young global leaders program as early as 1992, two of the first graduates being Angela Merkel and Bill Gates and we would have understood already then what we will show you now through this proceeding. These financial crimes went unchallenged by our politicians because they're aiding and abetting those who commit them and profiting from these crimes. Four, ultimately however we will show to you, the jury, that the other side's main purpose is to gain full and complete control over all of us. This involves the finalization of their looting and plundering by deliberately destroying our small and medium-sized businesses, retail businesses, hotel and restaurants, so that platforms such as Amazon can take over. And this involves population control, which in their view requires both a massive reduction of the population and manipulating the DNA of the remaining population with the help, for example, of mRNA experimental injections. But it also requires, in their view, the deliberate destruction of democracy, of the rule of law and of our constitutions through chaos, so that ultimately we will agree to losing our national and cultural

  • Hi, please pass this information on to everyone in each family. I don't want to miss anyone so share as much as you can. Or copy and paste! I just spoke with my friend Carlie who is a nurse at VGH and they just learnt that Advil makes the virus 10x worse. Tylenol ONLY for the time being. She said Advil kickstarts the virus into pneumonia. She also said they are not releasing the correct number of cases on the news and they have patients coming in everyday and some currently on ventilators. Soon they won't have enough room in the hospitals to treat patients and will have to turn people away. They've cancelled all surgeries to use the ORs for available ventilators, but it still won't be enough. She also said she found some people in there 40s and 50s who were previously healthy to be on ventilators and having major difficulty breathing because they took Advil. Also 4 doctors at VGH are now infected and she said she has never seen her doctors so worried before. So please no Advil and stay safe!!!

  • Mr. Chu, does TikTok access the home Wi-Fi network? Only if the user turns on the Wi-Fi. I﹑m sorry, I may not understand the﹑ So if I have TikTok app on my phone and my phone is on my home Wi-Fi network, does TikTok access that network? It will have to access the network to get connections to the Internet, if that﹑s the question. Is it possible then that it could access other devices on that home Wi-Fi network? Congressman, we do not do anything that is beyond any industry norms. It has spiked and spied on American citizens. I don﹑t think that spying is the right way to describe it. The only face data that you will get that we collect is when you use the filters to have sunglasses on your face. We need to know where your eyes are. Why do you need to know what the eyes are if you﹑re not seeing if they﹑re dilated? American data stored on American soil by an American company overseen by American personnel. We call this initiative Project Texas. Please rename your project. Texas is not the appropriate name. We stand for freedom and transparency, and we don﹑t want your project. You damn well know that you cannot protect the data and security of this committee or the 150 million users of your app, because it is an extension of the CCP. From the data it collects to the content it controls, TikTok is a grave threat of foreign influence in American life. It hurts me to hear questions this dumb and self-serving. Watching these congressional leaders, people we elected to represent us, are you kidding? At least people can see how stupid the people who run our country are. At least people can see forever positions, these no-term limits, what a problem it is to have these people get elected over and over again, never having heard their thoughts before, never having seen how stupid. And misaligned they are, how out of touch with the American people they are, and all they care about is their own power. If you listen to these members of Congress speak, you would think that they were rulers, emperors. Congress is full of queens and kings and mob bosses. These are the people that run our country, the people who are in charge of our future. They are so incredibly stupid, like so dumb. I, I, a guy literally asked if TikTok connects to the WiFi. How did we get here? You'd think they'd accidentally land on a point. And I give credit to the CEO, honestly, he weathered the storm. He was the only one who knew what the fuck they were talking about. These old, out of touch motherfuckers, they were bond paid for by Mark Zuckerberg. And it's just so obvious that they've never once used the app. I'm embarrassed for our country, I really am. We must be the fucking laughingstock of the world right now.

  • 轉分享: 這是中研院生醫所所長郭沛恩院士 (他也是UCSF 教授)寫給前副總統陳健仁及時中部長,関於目前COVID-19 的一些建議,希望政府能夠接納。 Dear VP Chen, Hope that things are going well. I just completed my 9th quarantine after my 9th trip to Taipei during the pandemic and see that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is now firmly established in Taiwan. While the CECC is moving quickly to address the widening spread of COVID-Omicron and is heading in the right direction, I find that the current policy is unsustainable and the messaging can be much improved. Since I was told that the CECC would welcome my suggestions, I have decided to do so. Please forward this message to the CECC for their consideration. 1. It is now very clear that COVID-Omicron is a very different disease than COVID-ALPHA/BETA/DELTA. Current vaccines are developed from COVID-ALPHA and cannot prevent INFECTION by COVID-Omicron even though they lower significantly the risk of SEVERE DISEASE and DEATH for those who are fully vaccinated and received booster shots recently. In addition, COVID-Omicron is highly contagious and has a very short incubation time; but it causes a milder disease, including shortened disease course and contagious period. 2. Because of the above, contact tracing does not work and avoiding infection is futile except one is in strict isolation or wears a PROPERLY FITTED N95 mask around others (see a very nice article about this in the NYT attached). This means that COVID testing in asymptomatic people is a waste of resources and is justified only in a limited set of situations (such as someone who works closely with vulnerable populations - e.g., nursing home and hospital workers - who has been in close contact with a positive case and needs to test negative to return to work). 3. Although the rate of hospitalization and death due to COVID-Omicron is low, when large populations are infected, the number of severe cases and severe disease is still significant (0.4% of 23 million people hospitalized = 92,000 in the hospital; 0.04% of 23 million people can die = 9,200 deaths) so the key is to keep the vulnerable people from developing severe disease. Medications used for COVID-ALPHA/BETA/DELTA variants such as antibody treatments and Remdesivir, etc., do not work for COVID-Omicron but the oral antivirals from Pfizer and Merck work amazingly well for preventing death (>85% reduction) and hospitalization. Paxlovid has done better in clinical trials to prevent hospitalization but it has many drug-drug interactions so many elderly people cannot use it. Molnupiravir has the theoretical risk of mutagenesis in pregnant women but for the elderly who are past reproductive age, it is a very safe and effective drug to use. I encourage the CECC to contact their counterparts in Japan, Singapore, Israel and the UK to get their experience in using these two oral anti-virals in the recent COVID-Omicron surge. [Full Disclosure: Dr. Dean Li, President of Merck Research Laboratories, is my brother-in-law so I am not pushing the Merck pill for obvious conflict of interest reasons.] Based on the above, my suggestions on messaging are: 1. Tell the country that COVID-Omicron is an entirely different disease than the previous COVID variants so the whole country IS NOT IMMUNE to getting the infection. However, through the sacrifice and cooperation of everyone in Taiwan, the country succeeded in preventing disease and death during the previous waves of infection that caused a lot of problems around the world. This is shared success that the CECC and everyone in Taiwan should take credit, be proud of, and very relieved by. 2. Despite the fact that no one is protected from infection, but because COVID-Omicron is mild, public health policy needs to be adjusted to focus on treating the vulnerable rather than preventing infection of all. 3. Acknowledge that some segments of society have been severely affected by COVID policies so the recovery of these sectors is taken in consideration in updating the public health policy. 4. Acknowledge that some COVID policies were confusing to the public in the past so the new policies will be more consistent and logical. For example, the policy of requiring masking outdoors while people eating at restaurants indoors are not required to mask makes no sense. My suggestions for the new policy are geared towards lowering hospitalization and death rates while avoiding unnecessary disruptions in people's lives: 1. Push vaccination for vulnerable groups (the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions that make them more prone to severe disease). Send vaccination nurses to the nursing homes and neighborhoods with elderly people to get everyone fully vaccinated (including booster shots). Getting the 30% of those 65-75 and 44% of elderly >75 who have not been fully vaccinated and boosted should be a high priority 2. Use the "test positive and treat" strategy for those in vulnerable groups. As I mentioned before, Paxlovid for all but Molnupiravir for those who cannot take Paxlovid. Treat them before their symptoms get worse because it is cheaper to give them the medicine than risk their need for hospitalization. 3. No more putting those with mild disease in special facilities or hospitals so that there are plenty of capacity for those who need hospitalization. 4. Recommend (not mandate with threat of punishment) those who have close contact with COVID-Omicron patients to mask around others for 5 days (no need to do so with household members because they are already given it to them) if they are asymptomatic. 5. No testing of asymptomatic people unless their job requires it (nursing home, hospital, etc.). 6. No more closing schools, factories, or offices because of positive COVID-Omicron cases. 7. No more mandatory masking except for those described in #4 above. People here are so used to masking that many will still do so with the threat of punishment. 8. No more mandatory quarantine, even for those who test positive. Highly recommend those who test positive to wear a mask when around people and not eat with others but not make it a punishable offense. [Treat them like people who have a bad flu, not like criminals.] 9. No more testing or quarantine requirements for visitors from abroad. As the local infection rate is now higher than that many other countries, there is no reason to require new arrivals to do anything different when they are asymptomatic. It's confusing to many that I can go anywhere in the world without quarantine but have to do quarantine plus multiple tests when arriving in Taiwan (and a handful of Asian countries). The benefit of the policies listed above is that the resources of the country are directed toward saving lives rather than collecting lots of infection data. It will reclaim the international travel hub status of Taoyuan International Airport (and not let Singapore and Seoul dominate the air travel sector) and revive the tourism, convention, airline, hotel businesses. It will simplify everyone's life and reduce anxiety. It may be counter intuitive but if you look at the data from the US university campuses and European countries, it is better to get as many young people infected as quickly as possible to shorten the surge while building up herd immunity for COVID-Omicron without a lot of severe cases. The old policy for flattening the curve is to prevent overwhelming the hospitals but with oral antivirals and milder disease, there is no need to flatten the curve. It is better to get the whole surge completed in 2 months like in most countries that pursue a more open policy. I am convinced that when the messaging is clear and based on current understanding of the situation, the people will embrace it and praise the CECC's leadership. Best, Pui -- Pui-Yan Kwok, MD, PhD Director, Institute of Biomedical Sciences Academia Sinica

Quinn。 Janelle has four overnight parking tickets all at the same location. So, what do you want to tell me about these, Janelle? I just want to know if I'm able to pay in October because I start my job on October 5th and my card isn't registered, so I wasn't able to get the permit sticker yet because my card gets registered in November. What do you do for work? Are you working? No, not yet. I'm going to be working at St. Tanner's on October 5th. And what did you do? What was your last job? Walmart. You worked at Walmart? Yeah. You're in sales. Are you a good salesperson? Yeah. You're going to work at a bank now, huh? At St. Tanner? Yes. Yeah. You're going to be what? You're going to be chief operating officer? What are you going to do? I'm customer service, taking... See, she's a good person. All of a sudden, we're going to have to smile, Inspector Quinn. Smile a little more and give me the keys to the vault. Let's work on that one. All right. These overnight parking tickets, is this because you did not have a parking spot? Is that an area where you live? Yeah, it's very full, so I have to park outside on the streets. Do you have a parking spot now? No, once I get my card registered, I'm going to get the ticket for it. The fines are $200 now because they all tripled. I'm going to fine you $20. I'm going to fine you for one of these tickets. And I'm going to give you all the time you need to pay it. I mean, who do you live with? You live with your parents, you live alone, you live with... It's just me and my daughter. We rent a place. Your daughter? You have a young daughter? How old is she? Ten months. Ten months? It's just you and she? Yeah. Oh. What's her name? Camila. We can't let you pay $20 because then, I don't know, maybe when you go home tonight, you need some food for the baby and if you pay $20 here, maybe you won't be able to afford the food, so I'm not going to do that. We have to take the baby into consideration in respect to Camila. And right now, she's like between a rock and a hard place. She wants to buy the parking passes. She can't because the registry isn't accommodating those right now. Right? And she's looking to do that. And she doesn't have a job, but she's got a little baby. So, when I can't take care of a ten-month-old child, I know I can't do that. There are a whole bunch of things you can do. You have nothing. Nothing. Your story really touches me. You only have one child. I guess you have a lot of challenges being a single mom. What is the biggest challenge? Taking care of the baby the whole night. You're dedicated to the baby. There are a lot of generous people in this country. We are on social media, and we are on television, and people throughout the world see what happens in this courtroom. And they send in contributions voluntarily and ask me to give them to people, I think, to use them toward people who I think are worthy, and you certainly are. So, I have a gentleman actually from Eustis, Florida, by the name of Gary Ashcraft. He sent in $25 and said, please use this to help a single mom who's doing everything she can to help her children. That's you. So, I'm going to use that $25 to pay for your ticket. But I'm going to do a little bit more than that. I mean, since you came in broke today, there are an awful lot of people who send in some money here. So, I don't want you leaving here today and not having enough money to take care of your baby. So, I am going to, with the generosity of people from throughout the country who have sent in cash, I am going to give you $50 in cash for you to use to take care of your baby. Thank you. And you put that to good use. Thank you so much. Anything you want to say to the person who sent in that money? I'll always say thank you so much, and I really do appreciate it.

  • So, we didn't have enough money to make, you know, international phone calls every week. And so, my parents gave us this tape deck. This Aiwa tape deck. And a tape. And so, every month we would sit in front of that tape deck and my older brother Jeff and I, the two of us would just tell them what we did the whole month. Wow. And we would send that tape by mail. And my parents would take that tape and record back on top of it and send it back to us. Wow. Could you imagine if for two years, wow, if that tape still existed, of these two kids just describing their first experience with United States. I remember telling my parents that that I joined the swim team. My roommate was really buff and so, every day we spent a lot of time in the gym. And so, every night 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups every day in the gym. So, I was nine years old. I was getting, I was pretty buff. And so, I joined the soccer team. I joined the swim team because if you join the team, they take you to meets and then afterwards you get to go to a nice restaurant. And that nice restaurant was McDonald's. Wow. And and I recorded this thing. I said, "Mom and Dad, we went to the most amazing restaurant today." This whole place is lit up. It's like the future. And the food comes in a box. And the food is incredible. The hamburger is incredible. It was McDonald's. But anyhow, it it wouldn't be amazing. Oh my God. Two years? Yeah, two years. Yeah. My parents are incredible actually. They're just they grew up really poor. And when they came to United States, they had almost no money. They came and we were we were staying in a in a in a apartment complex. They had just rent back in the I guess people still do rent rent a bunch of furniture. And we were messing around. We bumped into the coffee table and crushed it. It was made out of particle wood. We crushed it. And I just still remember the look on my mom's face, you know, because they didn't have any money and she didn't know how she was going to pay it back. And but anyhow, that's that kind of tells you how hard it was for them to come here. But they they left everything behind and all they had was their suitcase and the money that had in your in their pocket. They came to United States to pursue the American dream. How old were they? They were in their 40s. Wow. Yeah, late late 30s. Pursue the American dream. This this is the American dream. People who are successful leave the impression often that that our job gives us great joy. I think largely it does. That our jobs, we're passionate about our work. And that passion relates to it's just so much fun. I think largely it is. But it it distracts from in fact, a lot of success comes from really, really hard work. Yes. There's long periods of suffering and loneliness and uncertainty and fear and embarrassment and humiliation. All of the feelings that we most not love. That creating something from the ground up. And and Elon will tell you something similar. Very difficult to invent something new. Yeah. And people people don't believe you all the time. You're humiliated often. Disbelieved most of the time. And so, so people forget that part of success and and I I don't think it's health I think it's it's good that we pass that forward and let people know that that it's just part of the journey. Yes.
