America's dangerous friends America's enemies are becoming more dangerous, but even its friends could drag it into expanded conflicts this year. Volodymyr Zelensky. President Joe Biden has been Ukraine's staunchest supporter since Russia's invasion in February 2022. Having pledged to stay by Kyiv's side "as long as it takes," he has shepherded $113 billion in military and other aid that has proven vital to Ukrainians' ability to defend themselves. However, political support for Ukraine within the US has wavered as the war has dragged on, seriously undermining Biden's ability to keep the aid coming past this year. Cracks have also emerged within Ukraine, where infighting between Zelensky and Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny (over military strategy) as well as Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko (over Zelensky's allegedly authoritarian leadership) has spilled into the open, threatening Ukrainian political unity and fueling more skepticism among Kyiv's friends. Under pressure domestically and frustrated with both diminishing US support and increasing difficulties on the battlefield, a desperate Zelensky will be willing to take bigger risks to turn the war around and maintain his political standing before Trump potentially takes office (please see Top Risk #3). This includes more aggressive attacks against targets in Russia, Crimea, and the Black Sea, threatening a response from Russia and potentially forcing the United States to become more directly involved in the war. Yet even these will be enough to provoke a beyond-precedent military response from Beijing, such as violating Taiwan's airspace or waters or conducting ship inspections. Biden will be forced to respond to Chinese aggression with a show of resolve in support for Taipei that could jeopardize the US-China thaw and risk a dangerous cycle of escalation. If the Communist Party of China only relied on repression to stay in power, it would not create the most dynamic economy in the world, right? It is by far the most dynamic economy in the world. And you say it's repression? You obviously are taking the old Cold War mindset. I was in Moscow in 1976, and I saw repression in Moscow. And when I was in Moscow, the Soviet citizens were not allowed to travel outside the Soviet Union. That's repression. In the year 2019, 139 million Chinese left China freely. Guess what? Zero defectors. 139 million Chinese, right? That's twice the population of the UK, went back to China. So all your description, when you say environmental degradation, China's climate change policies are far more responsible than those of the United States, which has not once, but twice withdrawn from global environmental protocols. Kyoto Protocol, the Bush administration left eight years. Paris Accords, Trump administration left four years. And you know what? The reason why we're having climate change today is not because of new flows of greenhouse gas emissions from China and India. It's because of what the Western countries have put in the atmosphere since the Western Industrial Revolution. Get the data. The single largest contributor, cumulatively, right? It's number one, United States, number two, Europe, number three, China, right? And the West wants China to pay an economic price for the current flows, but the West doesn't want to pay an economic price for what it put in the atmosphere. You want to deprive the Indians of electricity when the United States could just, by the way, if the United States could impose a dollar a gallon tax, that would save the world. Cut down gasoline consumption, raise money for investment in green technology, simple solutions. And by contrast, the largest reforestation program in the world is carried out by China. So all your descriptions capture the natural distortions of China that you get in the Anglo-Saxon media, which violate the rules of the Enlightenment, which say that you must be rational, calm and objective, especially in understanding your adversary. Our country is at a crossroads, facing a pandemic, a recession, and an election that will decide our futures for a very long time. This year, we've seen the best of America carry us forward: heroic doctors, nurses, grocers, restaurant owners, essential workers–including so many Asian Americans. But we've also seen the worst: acts of hate against Asian Americans wrongly blamed for COVID-19, spurred on, in part, by hateful rhetoric from President Trump. They've been screamed at, spit on, and assaulted. Homes, businesses, and cars vandalized with slurs. Small children stabbed. An 89-year-old grandmother set on fire amid this rising culture of hate. This is not who we are. For nearly two centuries, Asian Americans have made our country strong–from the gold miners and railroad and factory workers who helped to power our rise; to the scientists, architects, artists, and entrepreneurs who are helping to drive us forward now. For years, their courage, sacrifices, and success have powered the American Dream and helped America stand as a beacon of freedom and hope to the world. President Trump doesn't get that. He has led an assault on our values as a nation of immigrants, even tearing thousands of children from their parents' arms at our border. Hate crimes against people are at a 16-year-high, even before this pandemic. And now, to deflect blame for his failure to protect our nation from this crisis, he insists on calling COVID-19 the "China virus," no matter how many thousands of reported racist incidents against Asian Americans it encourages. Words matter – and a president's words matter even more. As President, I'll defend the American Dream for everyone, so every hardworking family has the same fair shot at prosperity and a better future. I'll stand against racism in every form, directing the Justice Department to prioritize hate crimes, and working to heal the wounds of hatred and division, not fan the flames. Donald Trump knew how deadly COVID-19 was back in January and did nothing to stop it. Now, more than 220,000 Americans are dead. Some 30 million have lost jobs, hours, wages. One in five small businesses have shut down. Trump's failed leadership has tanked our economy – and the longer he's president, the longer it'll take to get it fully up and running again. We're eight months in, but Trump still has no plan. I do. It starts with taking responsibility and doing the hard work to control this pandemic and get our lives back. I'll implement the plan I've laid out since March to beat COVID-19. I'll listen to scientists and experts; protect our families; and make testing, treatment, and any eventual vaccine free and available to everyone. I'll get right to work building our economy back better – getting real relief out to millions of hard-hit small businesses. They're the lifeblood of our communities – but Trump's corrupt recovery passed them by, funneling funds to big corporations instead. Some 75% of Asian-owned small businesses weren't expected to get any first-round stimulus funds at all. It's wrong. I've called for ensuring small businesses with less than 50 employees get new relief funds. And I'll boost their long-term access to credit and capital, and work to ease the language barriers that can hold back immigrant entrepreneurs. Through it all, my economic recovery plan will reward work, not just wealth, creating millions of good paying jobs of the future. Independent economists at Moody's found that my plan creates 7 million more jobs – and $1 trillion more in economic growth – than President Trump's would. And I won't raise taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000 a year – period. Instead, I'll make sure the super wealthy and big corporations finally pay their fair share. I've fought my whole career for working and middle class families – so many of them hard-working immigrants who came to America in search of a better life. I'll help parents afford a quality education for their kids, boosting teacher pay and making public college free for most families. I'll make it easier to care for aging parents, and make health care more affordable. Trump is in court right now trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act, stripping tens of millions of people of health coverage in the middle of a deadly pandemic. It makes no sense. Meanwhile, COVID-19 is proof that the United States can't isolate itself from the world. We have to work with other nations to meet global challenges that impact us all, starting by rebuilding our relationships with our closest partners. We're a Pacific power, and we'll stand with friends and allies to advance our shared prosperity, security, and values in the Asia-Pacific region. That includes deepening our ties with Taiwan, a leading democracy, major economy, technology powerhouse – and a shining example of how an open society can effectively contain COVID-19. TB shots... etc... Never have I heard so many lies and deceptions over a vaccine that says I have to wear a mask and socially distance even when fully vaccinated... and that I could still contract or spread the virus even after being fully vaccinated.... Never had to get tested when I was perfectly healthy without any symptoms whatsoever.... Never been bribed by the establishments to take the vaccine in order to win a holiday and/or cash prizes or earn frequent flyer points.... I never had to worry about cardiac issues... neurological disorders... blood clots and sadly more! Didn't even have to worry about death.... Never was I ever THREATENED by the use of FORCE by the Government, Employers, Police force, and Military for a vaccine as seen overseas... I was never judged by my friends or relatives if I didn't take it.... I was never discriminated against for travel or other regular services to a point where I could not buy or sell without it.... The vaccines I have listed above never told me I was a bad person for not taking them or for even taking them for that matter... I have never seen a vaccine that threatened the relationship between my family members and/or close friends to a point of destroying my relationships with them ever.... Never have I seen it used for political gain... Never seen a vaccine needing 24/7 mass media advertising and promotion on every media outlet known to man.... Then there’s mixing and matching different vaccine brands and being told it's okay to do it one day and then told the next day to not do it (overseas). I have never seen a vaccine threaten someone's livelihood.... as well as wipe out their jobs... I have never seen a vaccine that allows a 12-year-old child's consent to supersede their parent's consent (that one alone blows me away). No have I ever seen parents be so fully brainwashed with fear that they SIGN waivers so children under 12 can have the untested for long term safety jabs. I have never heard of pregnant women being coerced into having a jab, OR they will not be able to have their babies in the hospital (overseas) never mind the precautionary principle or the affect on the UNBORN! Finally...after all the vaccines (jab, shots) I listed above... I have never seen a vaccine like this one that discriminates...divides, and judges a society.... So much information is censored... deleted.mm and removed from the internet and mainstream media! So many doctor and health care professionals... police and scientists are censored and forbidden to speak out or ask legitimate questions when what is being allowed or not allowed does not make sense! Particularly when it comes from mainstream media.... I have never known a vaccine that has made all the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture it EXEMPT from liability if it kills everyone to a point where no life insurance will cover it! This is one powerful vaccine guys! It does all these things above that I have mentioned and yet? It does NOT do the one thing it is supposed to do which is? Stop infection, Stop transmission or STOP THIS PANDEMIC ....

轉貼請大家廣傳 : 《致聯合國國際人權辦公室的控訴文》--（全文中英對照） Regarding: “Human Right of Taiwan Retired Civil Servants” 主題：「台灣廣義退休公務員的人權」 Dear Mr. xxx (.OHCHR ): On the day of June xx, 2017, by an overwhelming majority, the congress of Taiwan passed “Organic Act of Public Service Pension”. This action caused a suffering to torture rest lifes of 460 thousands of Taiwan retired civil servants including career military/soldier, government employees, teachers, police and firefighters. Never happened in else countries in the world so far, Taiwan government distinctively violated principles of legality of “Non-retroactivity” based on “Legitimate expectation” as adopted by countries all over the world. A review group under Taiwan Presidential Office, illegally taking the place of Ministry of Civil Service, i.e. the competent authority, handled the whole process of so-called unconstitutional pension reform. The fact that Taiwan retired civil servants will start facing their dilemma of half-cut pension, indicates a deprivation of their foreseen property by Taiwan government. 在2017年6月xx日，台灣國會以壓倒性多數通過了「公務員退撫條例」，這種作為對為數46萬的台灣廣義退休公務員（軍公教警消）的餘生是ㄧ種劇痛與折磨；世界空前！台灣政府丌自違反世界各國公認的「不溯及既往」的法律原則，此種原則植基於「信賴保護原則」；總統府轄下的年金審議小組非法取代了主管機關的銓敘部，隻手遮天進行違憲的退休金改革，使這批台灣廣義退休公務員即將面臨退休金幾近砍半的困境，這種事實顯示台灣政府已剝奪了他們預見的財產。 Prior to 1995, all Taiwan retired civil servants were subject to the legal binding of the law “Full Payment of Responsibility”. It has been lasting for 22 years until 2017 that sufficiently intensifies “Legitimate expectation” to protect their pension in future. But right now Taiwan government behaving as an authoritarian leads a renewable pension reform due to going financial bankruptcy as excused. Almost cut to half as their will as if a bargaining in vegetable market. This event behind conceals a politics struggle that Taiwan government tries to rectify political foes by infringement and persecution of their property, a kind of human right. Actually the ratio of “Total national liabilities” to GDP is 40% in Taiwan much lower than 90％ in UK, 104％ in US and 243％ in Jansen. Such a case of unconstitutional pension reform never happened even when Greece encounters financial difficulties. Moreover, the new France president Macron emphasized “Pension reform is non-retroactive, since it represents a promise given by the government before.” and also “There will be no change to retired persons. Their pension and spending power won’t be hurt.” As to the United States, from 1920 to 1987, retired civil servants owned their pension payment based on the law of “Civil Service Retirement System” (CSRS). In 1987, The law was updated to “Federal Employees Retirement System” (FERS) that applied to new employees since then. To deem the pension reform unconstitutional that retroactively stripped of their rights via the introduction of new laws, mass protesters of 250 thousands congregated in front of Presidential Office as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Special participants were wheelchair-bound veterans as shown in Fig. 3 who need medical care and nursing worker. They felt furious after being ignored their appealing. Furthermore facing trespasses of their foreseen property by Taiwan government, they feel helpless and pissed off.
