《刺胳針》(The Lancet) 研究指出，AZ兩劑疫苗注射時間相隔一個月，有效率達七成，如果相隔2-3個月注射，有效率竟提高至九成，這項研究導致印度等國家在疫苗計劃中拉長了兩劑疫苗注射的間隔時間。
此研究的價值在於，證明了單劑AZ疫苗在接種後90天內有效，拉長兩劑疫苗注射間隔時間，可提高疫苗效力。
研究人員表示，雖然注射兩劑疫苗後有九成能預防Covid-19，但在醫界有能力治療該疾病或是達到群體免疫前，戴口罩和保持社交距離仍有必要。這將需要幾年的時間。
